Melody Barnett Deusner (Rhodes '99) is Assistant Professor of the History of Art at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she specializes in late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century art. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and is currently in the process of transforming her dissertation, “A Network of Associations: Aesthetic Painting and its Patrons, 1870–1914,” into a book.
